Epoch Times Cites Datamyne in Report on US-China Chicken Trade Flap

Disputes between the United States and China over chicken trade have been especially tense in recent months, reports the Epoch Times.

After avian flu broke out in some US commercial poultry flocks in January, China imposed a total ban on all American poultry imports. On April 27, US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack urged China to reconsider its ban, and allow US poultry from regions unaffected by the avian flu.

China is a top market for US chicken, ranking seventh among exports markets and accounting for 6% share, according to Datamyne data.
