The last Hanjin Shipping vessel dropping off goods in California has set sail from the Port of Long Beach, finally clearing the many ships left stranded by the South Korean carrier’s collapse two months ago, the Los Angeles Times reports.
But Hanjin’s bankruptcy leaves a mess that retailers across the country will be sorting out for weeks. Big chains had to spend piles of cash to get their goods through ports in time for the holidays. Smaller shops will likely have less to offer this year.
Datamyne trade data is cited in identifying the consumer product and retailing brand names with the most exposure to the Hanjin failure.
