Today (October 14) is World Standards Day, an annual day of tribute to the thousands of experts who share their know-how and expertise to develop international standards, organized by the world’s largest standards developers: the ISO (International Organization for Standardization), the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) and the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).

The theme of the 45th World Standards Day is “Standards level the playing field.”

As the ISO explains, countries that mainstream international standards in their policies and regulations are better able to protect their people while giving them a bigger choice of quality products from around the globe … and giving their industries more opportunities to enter new markets. International standards make it easier for everyone, from the largest to the smallest players, to access technological know-how and best practice, and compete internationally.

Datamyne has embraced the principles of international standards from its beginnings. You could say the ISO is in our DNA.

We’re especially proud to be able to assure our customers that our data center in Montevideo, Uruguay, the heart of our data collection and processing operations, has been certified compliant with ISO 9001:2008 standards of quality management systems and processes for development, marketing and after sales care information tools for trade and foreign trade.
