Brush up on exporting basics with summertime webinars

The U.S. Foreign Commercial Services (USFCS) and the law firm of Husch Blackwell Sanders will host a webinar Wednesday, July 21, on the factors every U.S. exporter should weigh when drawing up an export distributor agreement. The hour and half webinar starts at 11:00 a.m. CT (12:00 p.m. ET). There’s a $30 fee. Register here.

Later this month, American Shipper is offering a webinar on best practices in export management systems. The session will focus on how export compliance practitioners ensure their business processes comply with export regulations. The webinar will be broadcast at 2:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, July 28. The U.S. Export Assistance Center in Atlanta has teamed with the University of Georgia SBDC to provide a series of free webinars on exporting at Export-U.com. Registration is required to access any one of 10 online seminars (more are in development) that will guide you through market research, costing, payment terms and other fundamentals of cross-border commerce. A three-part webinar on globalizing your company’s website includes an overview of international ecommerce.
