Details of trade, in both directions, across all transport modes now available

MIAMI – May 15, 2014 – Datamyne announced the release of detailed trade data – including the names of importing and exporting companies – covering the cross-border commerce of Costa Rica.

Based on the documentation filed with the Costa Rican Customs authority (Dirección General de Aduanas), the data on trade in both directions can be value or volume ranked by Harmonized System (HS) tariff code classification (up to 10 digits); importer or exporter; Customs district; countries of origin or destination; transport method (air, overland, or waterborne); and month.

Individual declarations can be accessed directly. (See the sample Detail Record below.) The added detail in these records is in the original Spanish. Datamyne offers custom research services that include translation for an additional fee.

The new Costa Rican data will initially cover full-year 2013 and will be updated monthly with data from a month earlier. Costa Rican aggregated trade data continues to be available back through 2007 and Maritime bills of lading through 2010.

Datamyne is offering free online demonstrations of its new data acquisition. The demo includes creating a free sample report on Costa Rican trade. Demos may be booked at https://www.datamyne.com/request-an-online-demo/.
